The women of northern Gallantria tend to be a taller, hardier stock then most. They are trained from an early age in the art of wielding the great axe. Axe-Maidens are employed on the battle field to cut through pike formations and against soft infantry. One well known axe-maiden is Svetlana, friend and ally of Bendroden Lightbringer and current proprieter of the Golden Lion Inn.
